These terms apply to your use of this website (https://photoidready.com, operated as PhotoID Ready) and its tools. By using the website you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
What the service is
The website offers tools that help you prepare a photo to the published size, head position and file requirements of an official document. It is an independent service. It is not a government agency and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any government agency or visa centre.
No guarantee of acceptance
Whether a photo is accepted is decided only by the authority you submit it to. We do not guarantee that any photo made with these tools will be accepted. The tools check only the size and position of the head (and of the eyes where a document sets a rule), and sometimes the file size and dimensions. They do not check glasses, expression, background, lighting or whether the photo looks like you. Several of these points are what you confirm yourself before a download is enabled.
Check the official source
Every photo page links to the official source of its requirements and shows the date we last checked it. Requirements can change at any time, and we may not have caught a change yet. You must read the official source and compare your photo with it before you submit anything. Some pages are marked "Provisional figures": we could not yet confirm every number against an official source, and you should rely on the official source alone.
Your photo and your responsibility
- You are responsible for the photo you use and for what you submit to an authority.
- Use only a photo of yourself, or a photo you have permission to use.
- Do not use photos of children, or of anyone else, unless you have the legal right to act for them, such as a parent or legal guardian.
- Do not use the tools to misrepresent anyone's identity, or for anything unlawful.
- Follow each authority's rules about editing. Some do not allow edited photos, and a page says so when it applies.
Cost
The tools are free to use today. Payments are not switched on. If paid features are added later, their terms, including refunds, will be shown before you buy anything, and these terms will be updated.
The service is provided "as is"
We work to keep the tools and the requirements accurate, but we provide the website "as is", without promises that it will always be available, error free or up to date. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from relying on the website, including a photo being rejected, delays, extra fees, or missed travel or deadlines.
Ownership
Your photos remain yours; they stay on your device and we make no claim to them. The website, its text, design and code belong to us or to their owners and may not be copied or resold without permission, except for the open-source components that carry their own licences.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use the website after a change means you accept the new version.
