Privacy Policy
This policy explains what happens to your photos and your data when you use the photo tools on this website (https://photoidready.com, operated as PhotoID Ready).
In short
- Your photo is processed inside your browser, on your own device. This covers face detection, cropping, resizing and creating the file you download.
- Your photo is not uploaded to our servers.
- We do not use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking scripts at the moment. The pages store nothing in your browser.
- Our web host keeps ordinary server logs of visits (see below).
- Payments are not switched on yet.
Your photos
When you choose a photo, the page reads it from your device and works on it in your browser. The code of the tools does not send your photo, or any part of it, to our servers or to anyone else. The files you download are saved by your browser on your device. We never receive a copy, so we cannot see, recover or delete your photos.
Files the tools load from our server
To detect your face, the tools need a face-detection model and a small runtime (WebAssembly) program. Your browser downloads these files from this website's own server when you use a photo tool, and they are the same for every visitor. We also store a larger model for optional background replacement on our server. It is only downloaded if you press a "Replace background" button, and that button is currently not shown on any page.
Requests to other websites
The photo tools do not send your photo or any data about it to third parties. Our pages tell your browser to connect only to this website's own server, and the tools load no external scripts, fonts, analytics or advertising.
The face-detection library we use (MediaPipe, made by Google) contains a feature that would send a small usage log to a Google server. We block it: in browsers that enforce this website's security policy, that request is refused and nothing is sent.
Each photo page links to the official source of its requirements, which is a government website. If you follow such a link, that website receives your visit and handles it under its own policy.
What we do process: server logs
When you visit this website, the server that hosts it receives your request. Like most web servers, it typically records technical details such as your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the response status, the type of browser, and the page you came from. We use this information to run and secure the website. We do not combine it with your photos, because we do not have them.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
The website does not set cookies and does not use local storage. It does not currently use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and it contains no advertisements. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this page before we do, and say what is collected and why.
Payments
Payments are not switched on yet, and the website takes no payment details today. When payments are introduced, they will be handled by an external payment provider, and we will not store your bank or card details. We will update this section, and publish the refund terms, before payments are switched on.
When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address and what you write. We use it to answer you. Please do not send identity documents or photos unless we ask for them.
Questions and requests
Because your photos stay on your device, we hold nothing of them. For anything else about your data, such as server logs or emails you sent us, write to contact@photoidready.com.
Changes
We will change this policy if how the website works changes, and we will update the date at the top of the page.
